'Coming Home' was written on the way back from the 'Tron' after an Acoustic Intent gig. Hayden was playing a riff and I came up with a story line...next thing you know...we were home.
lyrics
Take another step forward ‘cause it’s a long, long road / It’s been a long time coming baby but now I’m coming home / Pack across my shoulders, my burden and my load / You walked this way already one time now I’ll follow you back home / Run so many miles in this direction / Far from the life I’ve come to know / But I’m sold on this conclusion / Coming back to you is like coming home / Another year, another minute, another passing day / Each moment disappeared so quickly spent another way / Just one look and then I linger, to discontent I’m prone / But now with eyes on things that matter, yeah I’m coming home / Run so many miles in this direction / Far from the life I’ve come to know / But I’m sold on this conclusion / Coming back to you is like coming home / And in the wind I hear you calling / In the rain I taste each tear you cry for me / Run so many miles in this direction / Far from the life I’ve come to know / But I’m sold on this conclusion / Coming back to you is like coming home
